介紹
1999年成軍，由主唱兼Keyboard手惠婷、鼓手前源、貝斯手哲毓兩男一女所組成的Tizzy Bac樂團，以獨特的鋼琴搖滾樂風，從平凡學生到走上金曲獎星光大道；從原本單純地只是自己想要玩音樂而已，到受到國、內外大型音樂祭如日本「Fuji Rock」的注目邀請，以及「海洋音樂祭海洋大賞」、「華語十大專輯」、「金曲獎最佳樂團入圍」……等等的獎項肯定，Tizzy Bac不知不覺間一步一步地用對音樂的熱情實現了他們的搖滾夢！

Tizzy Bac是國內少見沒有吉他手的樂團編制，由Keyboard、貝斯加上爵士鼓的３人編制。

惠婷、哲毓、凱同（原鼓手)三個中央大學同學在1999年底組團。從2000年春天吶喊第一次表演至今，能去表演的活動和場合似乎都跑遍了。重要活動如野台開唱、春天吶喊、海洋音樂祭…，2002年Tizzy Bac首次參加第三屆貢寮國際海洋音樂祭比賽，即獲得【海洋大賞獎】，隔年發行首張創作專輯『什麼事都叫我分心』，更入圍第十五屆金曲獎【最佳樂團】及中華音樂人交流協會2003年【十大優良專輯】，創作實力頗受肯定，2005年七月底更受邀前往世界前三大音樂祭之一【日本富士音樂祭Fuji Rock】的表演。2006年四月發行Tizzy Bac樂團的第二張專輯【我想你會變成這樣都是我害的】，也深獲得各方好評推薦。2007年早春發行最新創作EP「維克多的玫瑰 La Rose de Victor」與萊爾富便利商店合作，在全台灣的萊爾富便利商店及誠品等唱片行販售！

2007年Tizzy Bac以第二張專輯【我想你會變成這樣都是我害的】入圍第18屆金曲獎最佳樂團及最佳製作人，並拿下金曲最佳專輯製作人大獎！六月赴香港參加廣州「華語音樂傳媒大獎」頒獎典禮表演並獲得「最佳樂隊」、「最佳封套」獎項！

BIOGRAPHY
Tizzy Bac was formed in December 1999, by three eager musicians Hui-Ting Chen (陳惠婷), Kai-Tong Zheng (鄭凱同), and Zhe-Yu Xu (許哲毓). With humble beginnings to play music, they have gone from being small town rockers to play in festivals such as the Hohaiyan Rock Festival, Fuji Rock Festival…etc, and winning resounding critical acclaim in their native Taiwan. The band has even been praised by international indie darling Cat Power, fascinated by Ting Chen’s powerful voice.

The band’s name comes from the English word “Tizzy” – which means disorder, panic, and a misspelling of the French word “Bec” (beak) by pianist/vocalist Hui-Ting. Since the word “Bac” in French also means College Entrance Exam, the band often jokingly refers to themselves as “Panicking Entrance Exam”. Since the band has always lacked a Chinese name, in 2009 to commemorate their 10th anniversary, they adopted their fan-name (鐵之貝克) as their official name.

Sonically, one of the distinction in the band’s sound, is that they do not incorporate guitars in their music – which lends their music to be mainly driven by the piano lines of Hui-Ting. Earlier in their career the sound was more reminiscent of piano jazz, but has since become more piano rock ala Bens Fold Five. Actually if their new album is any indication, they can be pretty much summed up as a female fronted Bens Fold Five with spacey tendencies. But it really is hard to categorize their sound into any specific category, as songs often incorporate different elements such as jazz, electronic, post rock…etc.

Since their inception, the band has not gone through much lineup changes, only original drummer Kai-Tong has left and been replaced by Chien-Yuan Lin (林前源) in 2003. So far the band has released 3 albums and 2 eps, with newest album – If I can see Hell, Then I would not be afraid of the Devil (如果看見地獄，我就不怕魔鬼) being released earlier in 2009. The band is going strong and does not look to slow down anytime soon.
