介紹
秋紅是香港近年一隊最有影響力的樂隊。在二零零二年五月成立的秋紅，由來自不同樂隊的四男一女組成，例如當中的阿 Jan 就是曾屬華納唱片旗下 Beyond Publishing 的本地 Nu-Metal 樂隊 Tatflip 的前主音。最初，成員們只是閑時聚在一起玩玩音樂，後來越玩越覺得有化學作用，結果一起組成了秋紅。在二零零五年的 World Battle of the Bands 上，秋紅得到了他們的第一個大突破。他們在比賽中闖過重重難關，贏得了冠軍。之後，他們在二零零零六年推出首張大碟，並出席大大小小的音樂會，如臺灣的 Formoz 音樂節和北京迷笛音樂節。二零零八年，樂隊成員 Hala 因私人理由離隊，位置由 KC 頂上。

關於樂隊的名字，秋紅解釋道：「『秋』 – 多愁善感，總是愛想東想西的季節；『紅』- 熾熱、溫暖，我們的血正在流動的意思，這代表著我們各人的性格與音樂的方向。」

秋紅的音樂難以界定，但卻一定是某種重型搖滾樂。如果硬要把秋紅的音樂劃進一個既定的音樂類種，那麼他們可能會是「另類金屬」。然而，這卻未免過份簡單化了秋紅富有創造性的音樂。透過融合重金屬 riff、不拘成規的和弦及精密的編曲，秋紅成功打造出一種只屬於他們的獨特聲音。每一個樂隊成員都不可缺少——從主音 Jan 情緒澎湃的聲音、河馬扎實和具驚喜的貝斯演奏，到鼓手阿軒充滿創意的節奏，秋紅的音樂都善用並發揮了每位樂隊成員的性格和特質。可能，就正正是這一份化學作用叫秋紅的音樂聽得人熱血沸騰、欲罷不能。從一開始就是獨立組成的秋紅，獨立精神貫徹始終，大碟的錄製，以至於宣傳，都是由成員與好友們一手包辦。

BIOGRAPHY
秋紅 (Qiu Hong) is one of the most influential and important Hong Kong band in recent years.  Originally formed in May, 2002 by 4 guys and 1 girl, the to be band mates of Qiu Hong all played in separate bands, with most notable being lead singer Jan, who before forming Qiu Hong was the vocalist of local nu-metal band Tatflip, which were signed onto Beyond Publishing and distributed by Warner.  Early on the members gathered and jammed as a outlet to try out new things, but the chemistry grew and soon these jam session became the basis for Qiu Hong.  After officially forming, the band got it’s first big break when they attended the 2005 World Battle of the Bands.  After much rigorous challenges, Qiu Hong came out on top and was awarded the winning title of the competition.   The following year 2006, they released their first album, and have continued to play shows ranging from the smallest to huge one’s such as Taiwan’s Formoz Festival and Beijing’s Midi Festival. In 2008, band member Hala, left the band due to personal reasons, and was replaced by new guitarist KC.

The band’s name Qiu Hong comes from both the Chinese Characters 秋 (Autumn) and 紅 (Red), and in the bands own words refers to – “”QIU” is “autumn” in Chinese, the season full of emotions and thoughts. “HONG”, “red” in Chinese, represents the hot blood inside us, and also the color of the fire, warm and bright, just like the characters of us and our music attitude.”

Qiu Hong’s music is not easy to classify, but is definitely in the heavier spectrum of rock music.   If a genre or title must be used, they would probably be named a Alternative Metal band.  But this would rather be unfair, as what the band achieves cannot be simply pin holed.  By combining Metal riffs with non-standard chord tones and interesting arrangements, the band has a sound that is very much their own.  Each band member brings something unique to the table, from lead singer Jan’s emotional and intense vocals, Hippo’s solid and unpredictable melodic bass work to drummer Hin’s creative drum patterns, the music showcases each members personality and character.  Maybe it is this mythical chemistry that makes the music of Qiu Hong so unique and special.  An independent endeavor from the start, they hold dear to the spirit of being independent and decidedly remains a DIY effort, from the recording of music to promotions are all handled by the members themselves.
