介紹
組成於2001年3月，曾於2004推出大碟《Nasty Fantasy》。主張簡潔的曲風，早期比較貼近Post Punk、Noise Pop及Brit Rock、旋律具美感之餘，還不經意地流露出獨有的黑暗張力。而在《Nasty Fantasy》推出後，樂隊開始作出其他嘗試，雖然保留了其黑暗張力，但在旋律及編曲上均作出了相當的變動，被放大了的Bassline令音樂變得具有 推進力；適量地使用效果器令本來經已妖異的唱腔鋪上了一層迷濛，一份憂悒，混合了酒精和藥物的味道。然而，英倫化依然是UNiXX的特性，你不難從中發現 到各種屬於英倫的聲音。 樂隊第二張大碟《7 Deadly Sins》，定於2010年1月16日推出。

BIOGRAPHY
Similar to Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nail’s fame, UNiXX is a band that at it’s core is guitarist and singer Sean P Yung.  With countless line-up changes since the bands inception in 2001, only Sean has been a consistent member.  Musically taking cues from the Brit-rock sounds of early Suede or The Cure to the searing guitar distortion of bands like Jesus and the Mary Chain.  UNiXX is a band that is not shy to show it’s 90’s noisy guitar rock roots.

Originally formed by Guitarist and vocalist Sean, bassist Vivio, guitarist Jackki and drummer Yin.  The band has gone through a number of member changes before settling and releasing their 1st album Nasty Fantasy in 2004.  The album, which was a devilish concoction of dark guitar feedback and minimal song structures, became something of a unique beast in the Hong Kong indie landscape of the time.  After building good press and a growing fanbase, the band went into seclusion for a few years till they returned in late 2009.

The new UNiXX line-up which consists of Sean, guitarist Ed Poon, bassist Steven Kwan and drummer Tatsu Yiu, see’s the band ready to unleash their signature brand of musical darkness on a unsuspecting world once again.  Quickly signing on with renowned noise sculptor Alok’s label Lona Records, and releasing a aptly titled 2nd album 7 Deadly Sins earlier this year.  The band has stayed busy with tours in China with stops in their local Hong Kong and Macau.
